FS Guiding, Lure and Fly fishing guides are based on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula, in the popular coastal village of Abersoch. FS Guiding operates from both boat and shore, over the species rich waters of the Llyn coastline, both inshore and offshore reefs, flats and rocky points being our main stomping grounds, targeting a multitude of species, on lure, fly and baits!
Our coastal habitat offers a multitude of extremely productive hotspots, which are not only just a joy to fish, but also to appreciate its extreme natural beauty!
From May to October a strong focus is set on light tackle sportfishing for a diverse range of saltwater predators, with a heavy emphasis on the European Seabass!
We fish different methods according to our underwater structure and depths, chucking surface lures over shallow reef, drifting rocky points with soft plastics, slow pitch jigging over heavy deep structure, hauling flys over skinny sand flats, plus sending big fresh baits down to the bottom, mixing up the species even further….The list goes on, we tailor your techniques to suit the species, environment and conditions!
October to March….we have a changeover, as the salt slows down, we focus on boat fishing the lower Welsh Dee at Chester, Llyn Brenig and Llyn Trawsfynydd, where we target freshwater predators….keeping up the fun levels in the more drab months!
